This game seems install properly - no problems reported - from the CD that age of empires 2 game free for windows 10 part of a Collectors Edition If I can make this work I plan to install its expansion pack Age Of Conquerors. EXE nothing happens. I've tried Windows features Legacy Option, and XP2 compatibility mode and running the game as Administrator all with the same result.

Can anybody explain, as if to a simpleton, how to make this work. I have read what seems like everything anybody has ever written on this subject, to no avail.
